The Basic Industrial Mechanics certificate is designed to prepare students for a career in the operation, repair, and maintenance of industrial equipment. A foundation of technical knowledge and mechanical skills on a variety of systems will be developed including precision measurement and quality control, introductory AC/DC circuits, mechanical drive systems, motor controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, and programmable logic controllers. Hands-on labs will develop observational, diagnostic, troubleshooting, and repair skills that are essential in an industrial maintenance technician.

Note that AAS degree, certificate, and short-term certificate programs are not designed to be transfer programs.
