Quality Inspection & Metrology

The Quality Inspection & Metrology short term certificate prepares students for employment as quality inspectors in the manufacturing industry. The program provides applied skills in precision measurement, blueprint reading, quality control, lean manufacturing, statistical analysis, data collection, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and measurement machines for current and future needs of the manufacturing industry. This program introduces students to the techniques necessary to set up and measure parts, collect and analyze data, and ensure that manufactured parts meet the required tolerances for fit and finish. The program emphasizes a combination of theory with hands-on practical application necessary for successful employment.
