510.04: Abandoned Vehicle Policy

Enterprise State Community College/Alabama Aviation College campuses or other instructional sites does not allow for the overnight parking of vehicles on campus unless prior permission is granted by the office of the campus police. Vehicles left on campus for period of 48 consecutive hours or more will be considered abandoned unless prior approval was given by the campus police for overnight parking.

Right to Tow Vehicles

The college reserves the right to tow vehicles from Enterprise State Community College property at any time, with or without prior notice, and at the owner's expense. Violations where towing may result are, but not limited to:

  • Blocking service or emergency lanes.
  • Unattended vehicles impeding the function of college parking lots.
  • Unattended vehicles obstructing vehicular traffic.
  • All abandoned or disabled vehicles that remain on the premises in excess of (48) forty-eight consecutive hours unless otherwise permitted by the Chief of Safety and Security.

The vehicle will be inventoried and towed to the city rotational vehicle storage facility for further disposition. All towing charges incurred will be the responsibility of the owner/driver.
