CNC Operator/Programmer Short-Term Certificate
The CNC Operator/Programmer short term certificate prepares students for employment as entry-level operators and technicians in the manufacturing industry. The program provides applied skills in precision measurement, blueprint reading, process planning, quality control, set-up, and operation of Computer Numeric Control (CNC) machines for current and future needs of the manufacturing industry. This program introduces students to manual data programming for both the mill and lathe. The program emphasizes a combination of theory with hands-on practical application necessary for successful employment.
Note that AAS degree, certificate, and short-term certificate programs are not designed to be transfer programs.

Area V: General Education Core, Technical Concentration, and Electives
NOTE: A grade of C or better is required in all Area V courses and electives.

Suggested Course Sequence
The courses required for the CNC Operator/Programmer short-term certificate will only be offered in 8-week min-terms. Students may start at the beginning of mini-term except for summer semester. For more details, please speak with an advisor or Mechatronics instructor.
