Avionics Technology Certificate

Students learn to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain communication and navigation radios, weather radios, autopilots, on-board computers, transponders, and other equipment associated with aircraft communications and navigation.

Outcomes

Students will demonstrate basic knowledge of how to use test equipment.

Students will demonstrate proficiency in reading Avionics technical manuals.

Students will be able to perform tests and alignment of the avionics equipment on the bench in a lab setting.

Students will be able to perform an avionics maintenance check in the aircraft.
