Career Programs
Enterprise State Community College is meeting the needs of a growing and diversified job market by offering career technical programs to prepare students for careers that require study beyond high school but not a four-year degree. Completion of a career technical program prepares students to enter a variety of occupations with specific job skills. Students may earn an associate degree, certificate, or short-term certificate depending on the program. While the following programs are not designed for transfer, many institutions may accept some of the credits earned in a career program.
Short-term certificates are typically composed of a two to five course sequence which are required for a certificate or associate degree. The purpose of short-term certificates is to break longer programs into shorter blocks, and to recognize students for their completion of foundational concepts as they progress toward completion of a program. As such, students are not able to select short-term certificates as their primary program of study. Instead, students will enroll in either a certificate or associate degree and will be awarded short-term certificates as they complete the respective courses required for the short-term certificate.
