AVT 148 Microprocessors and Interfacing
This course introduces basic programming and interfacing of a typical microprocessor, including data flow in the execution of program instructions, data manipulation, data stowage, and interfacing using programmable devices. Emphasis is placed on writing simple programs, executing, debugging programs and programming devices to serve as input/output interface units, and the flow of data during the fetch and execute phases of a program. Students will understand how a microprocessor runs a stored program, how to use an instruction set, and how to interface with displays, switches, and programmable devices.
