Advanced Composites - Associate in Applied Science
The Advanced Composites program prepares students to work in industries such as aerospace, automotive, bridge building, marine, sporting goods, and parts assembly. This program introduces basic composite materials, techniques, and procedures and progresses through advanced composite skills. Students will demonstrate industry standards concerning safety, composite terminology, hand lay-ups, and composite inspection and repair. Graduates earn an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Airframe Technology.
Note that AAS degree, certificate, and short-term certificate programs are not designed to be transfer programs.
Requirements
Area I: Written Composition I AND II
Select 3 credit hours from:
ENG 131: Students who intend to transfer into a baccalaureate degree program should take ENG 101. ENG 131 is a Code C course, which is not designed for transfer credit.
Area II: Humanities and Fine Arts
Must complete a minimum of nine credit hours in Area I and II; At least three hours must be in Area II
