Auxiliary Teacher Short-Term Certificate

The Auxiliary Teacher Short-Term Certificate is a 9-credit hour certificate mandated by First Class Pre-K Program Guidelines. Caregivers must obtain this industry credential for this position. Students may take any child development class to satisfy the nine-hour requirement except CHD 215 which is the Supervised Practical Experiences class. Note that AAS degree, certificate, and short-term certificate programs are not designed to be transfer programs.

Requirements

Area I: Written Composition

Area II: Humanities and Fine Arts

Area III: Natural Science and Mathematics

Area IV: History, Social, and Behavioral Sciences

Area V: General Education Core, Technical Concentration, and Electives (9 hours)

Students may select any of the following three courses to satisfy the requirements of this certificate.
