BUS 180 Business Operations and Organizational Structure

This course introduces students to the conventional organizational structures of mid-sized and larger businesses. It includes a study of typical departments, their responsibilities, and how they function as part of the whole organization. This course will demonstrate how information technology supports the work of these departments. Students will use sample software to model, analyze, and simulate standard departmental business processes. Throughout the course, students will be learning how people, processes, and systems can be integrated and managed most effectively to achieve organizational objectives.
